Adopt An Animal Program

What is Adopt An Animal Program?
This is a program where you as an individual, school, group or corporation can get involved to help feed and create a natural habitat for your favorite critter, or save an endangered species. When an adoption is done in your name, you may be assured that the animal you have chosen will receive the full benefit of your contribution. Different types of adoptions are described below.  All adoptions are annual except Platinum and Life Saver.

Personal Adoption

You may choose the animal of your choice, then you will receive adoption & animal history papers in your name, a picture of your critter, plus a news letter.

School Or Grade Adoption

Get your students involved! Your School Or Grade Could Win A Free Half Day Field Trip To The Ellijay Wildlife Sanctuary. Each year we will have a Change-A-Thon Fund Drive to help save America’s most endangered mammal, the Eastern Cougar. The winner of the contest will receive a free field trip, adoption papers of their favorite animal and a large picture for their school or classroom. Winner to be announced in the newsletter. Any adoption in excess of $600 will entitle your school or classroom to a live appearance of your critter to your school for a formal presentation of your adoption papers.*

Corporate Adoption

A corporation or business may choose to use this program as a team building incentive to bring recognition to your business, which would include media coverage for all adoptions of $2500 or more. We would also bring your adopted animal to your location to present the adoption papers to you.* Employee who raises the most money will get to have his picture made with that animal.

Life Saver Adoption

This sponsorship includes an overnight campout and a 11x14 picture with your animal.

*Only in the state of Georgia. Other states will depend on state laws applicable to the chosen animal. Travel expenses will be added to distances over 250 miles.
